In general, support Porta Sophia (https://www.portasophia.org/), Freedom to Operate (https://freedomtooperate.org/), or any of the Non-Profit Orgs that aren't seeking to patent the sky and earth. At the end of the day, the best way to defeat bogus psychedelic patents is to have Usona and MAPS on the market with competing off-patent products. Competitive off-patent alternatives are patent killers.
As far as this specific bogus application is concerned, you could do a third party submission (discussed and liked above in the text - https://www.uspto.gov/patents/initiatives/third-party-preissuance-submissions) and send the examiner this article. There are sometimes strategic reasons not to do a third party submission, but hard to see any reason not to here since all the information is before the examiner, just not presented in a fashion where it is easy to quickly make sense of the information.
I do not suggest supporting MAPS if you have any intention in offsetting the bastardization of psilocybin and the gatekeepers. They have become quite problematic and a roadblock for many aiming to protect the Sacred Mushroom in particular.
Thank you for this carefully written - though awesomely funny - article! I saw the application last week and was baffled (still am) but now it makes a little more sense
thank you for this very well written and insightful article!
ps can you clarify what actions (substeps - text example?) to take specifically (and can anyone do this or is it limited to US citizens?)

Thanks, Matt! Appreciate the shout out, and this incredibly detailed breakdown of the patent/prior art!
